Final Harvest
Final Harvest is a ladies trio based in Rochester, NY and they still have dates available for 2017!!!! The message of Final Harvest: God will send to His Church an unquenchable fire. The wind of the Holy Spirit will cause it to burn hotter than on the day of Pentecost, and spread rapidly. It will spread with fury and devour all that is not holy. Then He will send the latter rain, wash away the dross, refresh and make new. The Glory of the Lord will be seen by the entire world and manifested through His Church. There begins the end time harvest.

Miles Pike was a new artist to me when his project came in the mail here in our offices.  The projects is a good one and deserves a listen!

"Land Of No Time" is an old favorite that is always enjoyable to hear once again.  "The First Ones Covered By The Blood" was written by James Pike and is a very enjoyable and strong song.  Miles does a fine job on the vocal performance too.  "Everyone Everywhere Everytime" is a great Phil Cross and Rodney Griffin song.

Allison Lynn is a great soloist.  We received this CD for review quite some time ago and I forgot to post the review!  Anyway, better late than never so they say and so here it is.  Allison's latest project includes a number of terrific songs and I believe you will enjoy each of them.

The project starts out with an upbeat song and I absolutely love it!  The name of the song is "Do You Wanna Be My Neighbor In Gloryland" and it was written by Allison.  It is also the new single from the project.  The song is well written and you will enjoy the message.  Allison wrote a few songs on the project including the next one.  "Wedding At Cana" is a unique song and also a very enjoyable one.  "Abide With Me" is a great song that is a prayer set to music asking the Lord to abide with us.

Forgiven 4 is male quartet that I just recently became acquainted with. They have a terrific sound and you will enjoy their latest effort titled "King's Highway." The project includes thirteen songs all sung in that traditional male quartet style.

The project begins with a terrific arrangement of the classic song "What A Lovely Name." The guys do a great job on it. The second cut on the project is an up tempo song titled "I'll Live In Glory." You will enjoy the quartet harmonies on this great song and you will enjoy the message too. "God Sits On High" was a big song for the Kingsmen but Forgiven 4 has an outstanding arrangement that you will enjoy. Things slow down once again as they sing "Far Above The Starry Sky."

I have been a huge fan of the Booth Brothers since I first became aware of them in the 1990's.  I have reviewed a number of their projects over the years and they can always be counted on for a first class recording.  One note about this project is that it is the debut project on the Daywind Label for the Booth Brothers.  As usual, Daywind and the Booth Brothers do a great job to combine for an excellent project.

"Welcome To The Family" seems to have a two fold meaning.  It could be a song welcoming them to the Daywind Family, however, the true message of the song is welcoming the Christian to God's Family.  It's the debut single from this project and an incredible song.  The second cut on this project is "When He Saved Me."  It's a great showpiece of the harmonies that have been associated with the Booth Brothers for many years.  The tempo slows down tremendously as the guys sing "Stand."  It's a beautiful song reminding us, as Christians, what we should stand upon.  It's a great song with a powerful message.  I knew we wouldn't get far into the project before the Booth Brothers lit it up with a barn-burning song!  "Faithful One" is the name of the song and this song showcases the group's ability to harmonize on the fast songs.

I always love to get a brand new project from a quality group that isn't afraid to push the envelope of Southern Gospel Music from time to time.  Brothers Forever is one of those group and their latest project, titled "Sheltered," is an outstanding project from this talented group.

"I Feel A Blessing Coming On" gets this project off to a kicking start!  What a great tune and a great lyric too.  This song is a radio single and will certainly be a fan favorite for the group.  "That's Good Enough" does a very good job reminding those of us involved in Southern Gospel Music why we should be involved in and what the ultimate goal should be.  The tempo picks up once again as the guys sing "I Can't Forget The Day" and song reminds us of that day that Jesus Christ came into our lives.  What a great day it was for me and I know that I cannot forget that day!  Curtis Hagy had a hand in writing the majority of the song on this project including the next song.  Curtis does an outstanding job singing the lead on "Be Alright" as he reminds us through his lyric that we will be alright as long as God is by our side.
