The American Quartet is a new group to me but some of the group member names are familiar. The group consists of Roger Queen, Clarence Bailey, Rick Strickland and Darrin Lovelace and is headquartered in North Carolina. This project consists of several familiar songs and you will enjoy these songs sung by this talented quartet.
The song starts with a personal favorite song of mine with "Telling The World About His Love." The guys do a great job on this old favorite song and it reminds people why we tell the world about God's Love. The next song is "There Is A Haven." The American Quartet showcases their harmonizing abilities on this song and you will enjoy the beautiful message along with the wonderful harmony. The next song is an old Cathedral song that these guys do a great job. The song is titled "Ride That Glory Train" and you will enjoy the efforts from the American Quartet on this song.
One of the greatest messages I have ever heard in a song is "God Shall Wipe Away All Tears." That song is next on the project and I enjoyed hearing it again. This song is followed by one of the all-time great songs of encouragement. Mosie Lister wrote "Til The Storm Passes By" and the American Quartet does a very nice job singing the great lyrics of this song. The next song the group tackles is the Poet Voices classic song "I Am Redeemed." I am not sure that I have ever heard any other group record this song but I do enjoy the version on this project. "If God Didn't Care" was written by Leroy Abernathy and it reminds us of all of the great things we have in our life because God cares for us.
The tempo picks up as the guys sing a quartet classic in "Heaven Will Be Mine Someday." This song reminds us that our final destination is Heaven and we will be there someday. Another song with a message of encouragement if "You'll Never Walk Alone." The guys turn in another outstanding performance on this great, old song. The final song on the project is a JD Sumner classic titled "What A Homecoming Day."
As male quartets go, the American Quartet is a good one! They have strong vocalists in all parts and harmonize with the best of them. This project is well produced and has a lot of familiar and favorite songs. My favorite songs from the project are "Telling The World About His Love," "Til The Storm Passes Over" and "Heaven Will Be Mine Someday.' I enjoyed the music from this group and I hope to hear more from them in the near future! For more information on the group, visit their website at http://www.theamericanquartet.net/. |
