Brian Free and Assurance have been around for several years now and are widely regarded as one of the best in Southern Gospel Music. They do a fine job of showing what male four-part harmony is all about. When you couple that harmony with some of the finest classic songs in Southern Gospel Music you have a real winning project!
"Your First Day In Heaven" gets the project off to a fast start and the guys sing the song to perfection. The next song is one of my all-time favorite songs. It is titled "What A Beautiful Day For The Lord To Come Again." I love the song and the message really expresses what all Christians feel. The next song is a true quartet classic made famous by the Kingsmen over 30 years ago. "Glory Road" is the song and the song remains a favorite today, especially when you put Brian Free on that famous tenor part in the song.
Brian Free and Assurance take on the Dottie Rambo classic "He Look Beyond My Fault" next and they do an awesome job on that beautiful song. "Mercy Built A Bridge" is the next song and it's a wonderful job of talking about God's Mercy and the power of it. The tempo picks up with the classic "John The Revelator." "Just A Little Talk With Jesus" is next and I love the version that Brian Free and Assurance sings on this recording.
The next song is an Andre Crouch song that I had not heard in several years. "The Blood Will Never Lose It's Power" is still a great song and I enjoyed hearing it again. There are a few songs in Southern Gospel Music that are always going to be
As I previously stated, I believe Brian Free and Assurance is one of the top male quartets traveling today. The group has great harmony and the Daywind production team is second to none. The project has ten of the greatest songs in the history of Southern Gospel Music so picking favorites is not easy! I did finally decide on "Sheltered In The Arms Of God," "What A Beautiful Day For The Lord To Come Again" and "Just A Little Talk With Jesus." The entire project really is exceptionally so get a copy today! For more information on the group, visit their website at www.brianfreeandassurance.com. |
