The Gracemen is a male quartet that I have known for quite a while. They can always be counted on to produce and record a quality project. This project is the latest in a line of several good ones.
The project starts off with the popular song "Strike Up The Band." The guys do a good job on this song. "Ain't That What It's All About" is the next song and this song does a nice job of reminding us that all Christians should have a primary goal of seeing souls saved. "God Had A Plan" is an upbeat song written by group member Ralph Weekly. This song is a well crafted song that reminds us of God's Plan that saved us from our sin.
The pace slows down quite a bit as the guys sing "Jesus Knows." It's a beautiful song reminding us that Jesus known everything going on in our lives. The next song is a classic in Southern Gospel Music. Probably nearly every male quartet has recorded "Oh What A Savior" in the past and the Gracemen record it on this project. "Trade The Old Cross For A Crown" is the next song on the project and what a great message and thought as it reminds us how great Heaven will be. "Glory Glory" is another upbeat song that features a bass line that I have always enjoyed. The Gracemen do a good job on this song.
"Pray For Me" slows down the pace just a bit and this is the same song Signature Sound charted with not too long ago. The next song was written by group member Randy Pierson. The song is another awesome song about our ultimate home in Heaven. The song is well written and the message is outstanding. The final song on the project is another from the classic Southern Gospel Vault titled "I Bowed On My Knees."
The Gracemen are a talened male quartet that has a pretty big following. The group has a good project mixing in a couple of original songs with some classic songs. The project is well produced with good vocal performances. My favorite songs on the project are "God Had A Plan," "Glory Glory" and "Trade The Old Cross For A Crown." If you enjoy traditional male quartet singing, you will enjoy this group. For more information visit the Gracemen's website at http://www.thegracemen.com/. |
