Project Title: Self Titled Label: Song Garden Producer: Canaan's Crossing
Purchase this project at: www.canaanscrossing.com
Caanan's Crossing is a group that we are quite familiar with around the Southern Gospel Music Forum offices. We have reviewed their music before and have come to expect good things from them.
"Rain Falling Down" kicks off the project with a rousing start. "Give Me A Song To Sing (In My Hour Of Greatest Need)" is a terrific song that reminds us that God will see us through all of our troubles and trials if we just trust Him. "Praying" is the next song on the project and it reminds us of the power of prayer. The next song on the project is "Battle Scarred Soldier" reminds to keep fighting on.
"Goin' To Heaven" is a song that talks about that wonderful trip to Heaven we will make someday. "Leaving Despair" is a wonderful instrumental from Canaan's Crossing. "Talk About Suffering" is a unique title for a song and it has a bit of a spiritual feel to it. It talks about leaving this world of suffering. "Palms Of Victory" is a very familiar song and Canaan's Crossing version is a good one.
"There's A Man In Here" talks of the many miracles that God does perform because He is living in our heart. "The Best Is Yet To Come" is a song with a terrific message. It reminds us that no matter how good things are on earth, the best is yet to come in Heaven! "I'm Going Over" is another song about moving on to Heaven. The final song on the project is "Gloryland."This a cappella song is a great message of encouagement about seeing our saved loved ones again.
Canaan's Crossing is a very talented bluegrass group. This project has twelve songs that you will enjoy over and over again. The production and instrumentation is very stong and the performances are all top of the line. My favorite songs from the project are "Gloryland," "There's A Man In Here" and "The Best Is Yet To Come." If you enjoy the bluegrass style of music, you will enjoy this project.
