The Latimers are a Southern Gospel Music group from Texas that has been traveling for a number of the years. Their latest project is a fine example of the talent of this group.
"Power In The Blood" is the first track on this project and the great old hymn reminds us of the power that is in the God's Blood! "He's In The Midst" is a song made popular by the Bishops several years ago but the Latimers do a fine job on the song. "Without Him" is a popular song from the 1970's written by Mylon Lefevre. It was great to hear the song again I enjoyed this version.
"New Shoes" is the upbeat next track on this project and I absolutely loved this song! "I Bowed On
My Knees" is a true classic in Southern Gospel Music and the Latimers handle it well. If you have been a fan of Southern Gospel Music for a while and remember the Happy Goodman Family, you probably remember "I Believe He's Coming Back." The Latimers have a good version of this song next. "Over And Over" is another good song that reminds us of the faithfulness of God.
One of my mom's favorite songs is "Sheltered In The Arms Of God." I love the song and I love it when group's go back and record old songs like this one. "The Blood That Stained The Old Rugged Cross" is a tremendous song about Christ's Blood that was shed for us. I can't recall ever hearing the song before but it is a very good one. The final song on the project is "Shouting On The Hills" and it's a rousing end to a great project.
The Latimers have a very good project here that will be enjoyed by all of their fans. The production of this project is very good and the song selection is also outstanding. My favorite songs from the project are "Sheltered In The Arms Of God," "New Shoes" and "He's In The Midst." All of the songs on this project are very good and I recommend the project to anyone who enjoys good Gospel Music. For more information visit www.thelatimers.com. |
